Description

An American Bison walks through the fall fields in the Badlands, conjuring the feeling of a timeless harmony between the bison and the unchanged prairie around it.

In reality, this harmony was almost destroyed in the 19th century, when overhunting and habitat destruction nearly drove bison to extinction. Through conservation efforts and reintroduction programs, bison populations have gradually recovered, contributing to the restoration of the Badlands’ natural ecosystem and preserving this iconic symbol of the American West.
